SOL File Big Pack

Once again - a blast from the past.

For new Kongers, here's an easy way to get badges with minimal effort and no hacking skill involved.

1. Download these two folders:

chat.kongregate.com -> RAR format <Rapidshare or Mediafire>
or ZIP format <Rapidshare or Mediafire>

and

kongregate.com -> RAR format <Rapidshare or Mediafire>
or ZIP format <Rapidshare or Mediafire>

*NOTE* - newer files updated as they come - check below periodically for updates. (If you see it marked with [NEW] or [FIXED], it's not in the big pack)

2. Extract the folders from the archives

3. Copy to the appropriate folder depending on your OS (see below)

Windows XP:

BTW - This post came about after I used a nifty tool called CCleaner - it cleans up old temp files, search history, registry entries, etc. I ran it without looking at all the files I was getting rid of (5Gb of crap). Guess what was gone... yup - my sol files. :cry: :evil:

So there I was - all badges completed and nary an sol file on my HD.

I recovered what I could from the old forums, and then copied over about 50 more from my laptop (new OS in January, so no old games, but lots of the new ones!). The above files are not complete (you will notice some folders with no files in them (thanks for nothing CCleaner...)

But I digress - to save yourself this pain and suffering, in CCleaner, go to Options>Exlude and then add the chat.kongregate.com and kongregate.com folders (directories at the top).

SO yeah - any help filling in the blanks (files and directory list) would be much appreciated. (broken image removed)

Hmm - some of them are from Sept. last year. Whether the games got updated or not, I don't know.
Balloon Invasion should work - give me a list of those not working and I'll update as I can (I have a bunch of files on my work computer - but I'm on vacation for another week).

Just a word of caution, some games record your username in them, so if you're gonna upload them or use them, be sure to edit them to not give your Kong name away.

Balloon Invasion - you have to continue one of the saved games and beat the final boss for the badges to register - takes about an hour for each one (broken image removed) There are some CE hacks HERE.

Dungeon Defender is up to the last level now (check out the fixed link in the first post). You still have to complete the final level. Just use CE plain value (no *(broken image removed) for your money. You can lock your health (initial value 20), but if the boss gets through, it's game over, so may as well sit and watch it rather than having to redo it.

whew - tookie - haven't seen that script in a while (the one in your sig). I flashed nervous for a second.

Where possible, I use a different name than my Kong account for games. This pack is compiled from many different sources also. Ideally, we should get people with all of the badges to donate a couple each and make one master collection of all played games (not just badged ones) in case my situation happens to someone else. Also, it would give some of the up-and-comers a chance to play around with them and improve their skill. :geek:

You could KBH without the sol - for anyone who wants to play, the CE hacks really help and the last level on the different settings are insane! Although it took just over an hour for both of the final two levels, I found it satisfying to destroy all that stuff (just my style). And you don't have to go back to previous levels and get a whole bunch of gold medals. It's like entering an all-weapons code for a console game - you start the game super powerful.

Dungeon Defender is the same - unlimited gold in a TD - The last level, I dug up everything and filled the screen with dragons save for the path the enemies take (so I could watch their progress in seeking DOOM! :lol: :twisted: )

I downloaded one a while back that gave me a few and this one had a couple of free badges. Just curious why you including .sols that didn't give you the badges? Is it because you just copied the entire folder and .rar'd it? including the games you played without badges?

skuff - yes we can edit, but this serves as a shortcut for initiates as well as a backup to anyone who does a bonehead thing like me and deletes their sol directory.

xycho - the original big pack had many non badges games and then I added all those from my laptop. So yes. But, if you can believe it, some people play games that don't have badges. Something for everyone... (broken image removed)
