Announcement from Kongregate

Hey Kongregants. If you're reading this post, it is because we have had to remove the MMO Caesary from the site. Faced with a copyright infringement notice and threatened legal action, we either had to take Caesary down or else get involved in a potentially lengthy legal battle. Knowing the incredible inconvenience this is causing all of you who have played the game this was not a decision we made lightly.

We know what it's like to put a lot of time, effort, and in some cases, money into something, and to have that taken away. And we know that it sucks pretty badly. We also know that anything we could try to do to make this up to you will fall staggeringly short. It's nice of your parents to offer you a new puppy at the death of a beloved dog, but you probably really just want your dog not to have died.

That being said we do feel we owe you guys big time, so we do want to offer you a few things that might make this loss a little bit better. We hope you'll accept some free items from Lord of Ages, which we honestly think is really fun. We're finalizing this now and will be contacting everyone who played Caesary via a whisper. Also, any Kreds spent on Caesary after October 20th, 2010 will be returned to your accounts to be used as you would like, and we will be more than happy to respond to your questions and complaints if you send them to [email protected].

We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience to all of you, and again: if it were at all possible to avoid this, we would. Going forward, please don't hesitate to let us know what we can do to help you make the best of an admittedly bad situation.
