Finding sol files in Chrome

I've tried reading through the FAQs, and even broader Google searches, but haven't been able to find an answer to my question.

I use Chrome, and am trying to find a .sol file for a given game on Kongregate (specifically Bubble Tanks TD 1.5, but a more general process is what I'm looking for so I can repeat the exercise for any game).  I've learned that I should be looking in this folder:

C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects\[RandomSequence]\chat.kongregate.com

I have gone there, and there are some .sol files that are labeled in the main directory so I know for which game they are.  There are also several folders under:
.../gamez/[4-digitNumber]/[4-digitNumber]/live/[PartialGameName]/

But even looking through all of those sub-folders, I haven't found all games; I've found Bubble Tanks Tower Defense and Bubble Tanks TD2, but not the 1.5 game.  There are also several folders that start with ## and have 16 random digits, but the files in there are all named "00000001.sol", which doesn't help me know for which game they are.  So if I am looking for a specific game, is there a way to search for it, or to tell Chrome to save it in a specific location?

if you dont see it in there, it might be because 1.5 is messed up. i know on kongregate it doesnt submit badges, you have to use kbh or submit a missing badge report

I did find that location in my searches, but I don't even have a gamez\0009 folder.  When I load the game on Kongregate, it shows that I've completed all levels without losing a life, so it seems like there should be a .sol file somewhere, but there isn't one in the location you indicated.  And I've looked through every sub-folder of gamez\ without luck.

alright so i looked at it again and chrome decides to do something stupid (like always when trying to hack flash games) and rather than putting it in the correct destination like above, it puts it AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects\NUMBERS\chat.kongregate.com\ and creates a file with 2 number signs and a bunch of random letters. for me there were two of them ##45BDA57A07131E27 and ##C26F10752FD18138. i have no idea if those are completely random or if you might have them, and im not siur which one is the game. like you said theyre all called 000001.sol

You can always look at the date/time modified to give you a hint which random file name is the one you are looking for.

I did try that, and I found a sol that had been changed right at the same time I was playing the game.  To verify, I closed the game window, moved the .sol file, then loaded the game window again.  It recreated the .sol file, but even though I had moved the original .sol file, it still showed me having completed all levels.  I had expected that when it had to create a .sol file from scratch, that it would have thought it was my first time playing (not with respect to badges earned, but at least for levels played and scores earned on that computer).

Since it kept all of my records, I figured that there was something amiss.  I also tried using Notebook++ to open the .sol file, but it had very little information, so, again, it seemed like I wasn't doing something correctly.  I'll continue to look into it, and also try opening some of the other .sol files that *are* named in a helpful manner and see if that gets me enough familiarity to figure out the others.

First search on google since I don't use chrome yeilded this:

I could not find this information in any other post, and this thread looked to be the most relevent for it. I thought I would post this for anyone else trying to hack these "##HEXID/00000001.sol" files in Chrome.

Chrome adds an index to the end of the sol file that makes it throw a "Data Length Mismatch" error when you load it in minerva. Additionally Chrome loads the .sol file by matching the index. So you can rename the file to anything you want, and Chrome/Flash will still find and load it for you. If you replace the save file with one that doesn't contain the index then Chrome will ignore it, and create a brand new sol file (E.g., if you copy a save from Firefox to Chrome).

To get around this you need to add the index to the sol file you copied. I will show how I did this with the Idle Recruit save, and hopefully the example will be enough to explain it. If anyone knows of a better way of doing this then please let us know.
 

1. Play the game in Chrome to create the ##HEXID directory with the default 00000001.sol file in it. You can locate which file it is by timestamp.
2. Copy the normal sol file into the Chrome ##HEXID directory.
   1. E.g., copy [Firefox]\chat.kongregate.com\gamez\0021\8045\live\LimitlessIdle.swf\MoreMoneyMoreProblems.sol to [Chrome]\chat.kongregate.com\##6ACAD9D3A4279593\
3. Load both sol files with a hex editor like HxD, and scroll down to the end of the files.
4. Copy the entire "00 FF 00 00 00 ?? 00 ?? PATH" string from the 00000001.sol file, and paste it into the MoreMoneyMoreProblems.sol file.
   1. Copy: ​

5. Save MoreMoneyMoreProblems.sol, and delete the 00000001.sol file. You do not need to rename the copied file to 00000001.sol, but can if you choose.
