MAA - hax - easy win

just wondering anybody know to modified the mission xlm to have No Toast (story-telling) Dialog like what we have in KH?  i just want disable the messege on mission 12.2 which i farmed everyday , it's very ignoring with all those messages.

in the modified mission xmls all the included xmls (101-901) have the following code applied:
        find and replace 'enemy' -> 'defense'
        find and replace 'area' -> 'myTeam'

this effictively changes the enemies ability to target, what previously targeted 'enemy' (or the enemies enemy, which would be a hero on the players team) now targets 'defense' (or an ally of the enemy). in the case that the enemy has an 'area' attack (or an attack that would hit the playes entire team) now targets 'myTeam' (which from your enemies perspective would be their entire team).

Try This in Missions.XML:

Replace:
<actionType>*.*</actionType>
<actionType>myTeam</actionType>

Replace:
<statusEffects>*.*</statusEffects>
<statusEffects>Rest</statusEffects>


Note: Remember  use "Regular expression" in Notepad++

i dont mean to offend u or make u angry but do u not read the previous pages ? also many of them even gave instructions on how to edit the xml files yet u dont edit them so kindly please read the post then ask for help and try to learn to edit by urself a bit atleast

I merely asked because I have browsed through the previous posts and have not seen any mention about the specs ops file.
I also do not see any stock file posted for it that's why I'm asking.
 

well the times you see mention of "editing mission xml's" then you can use those ideas or tips to attempt an alter an change yours an see how it might or might not work for you.. also it is a good bit of advice to keep yourself a fresh an clean stock file and a folder for your altered/modded files.. been a few times I had to go back to a stock file cause the changes I made was so messed up.. lol.. well actually more than just a few times.. but yes there is MANY great tips an advice spread all over this thread right now..

wish someone could try an converge all the video an information into a file post to be made into a mild "how to setup an use Charles on MAA" sticky or some such thing.. so many that are not able to get it setup or having trouble finding editing examples could then be pointed there to get the basics first.. an I say that due to trouble I had when I tried to get setup again.. an also to converge the advice found and shared by SO many here since into one location, so every beginners might be able to get the basics easier as well..

now I wont deny I have the time.. but as we ALL have noticed I am LONG winded so best I don't do so.. plus I don't believe I know enough to do it justice either.. lol.. but it would be nice an easier if we had a few sticky tutorials though.. just with the easiest an simplest basics of setting up the soft wares we use here an maybe examples of how to get by glitches in it with the how to sticky.. oh an of course closed or locking of the sticky so it can be edited but not loaded down in multiple posts.. lol.. as I say just a thought is all.. lol.. an figure it MIGHT ease some of the tensions an snappy responses at times.. lol.. granted there will always be some you can NEVER teach also.. lol..

i m trying to figure out how to just fight one battle to get to the boss instead of 5 or 6 battles. still no luck right now, anybody figure out already?

There are Reval Points  that decide about how fast  each fight shows on screen. You change it not in mission xml but in users session (using charles web proxy). I try to change it but it s make cve

Sorry about that. I did see the early discussions about it and also read that every xml files have been updated.
I also checked on some of the attached downloads and none had the stock file for the specs ops. Too noob also to know how to save my own specs ops xml file which is why I asked.
Anyway, just want to thank you again for the files that you have attached.

to get your own stock xml's be sure you are doing a fresh scan/recording of loading the game.. meaning...

clear cache and data on browser,

then in Charles deselect the local mapped xml's (tools>map local settings (Ctrl+Shift+L)) by unchecking them and clicking "ok" to confirm you deselected them,

and close Charles afterwards

then after again clearing cache an data from your browser (always best to be certain its cleared again), close the browser

depending on how fast your system is give it a few moments to be certain all processes are closed fully

then re-open Charles an allow it to fully open and load

the reopen your browser again (best to have a bookmark to the game page saved to the toolbar) as you load the game window sign back in facebook and the game

once the game has FULLY loaded double check in Charles an see if the xml files an folders are being recorded an not still linked to local files.. if still linked attempt to deselect the local mapping AGAIN, till its now getting fresh copies from the server..

if they are loading fine and not still locally mapped right click in the left window the xml you want to save an scroll down to "save response"

then direct it to the folder you want to save your "stock" "fresh" files to and tell it to save it there.. if asked tell it to overwrite the older one so you KNOW its a fresh clean copy from the server..

do this with ALL the xml's you want to save for your edits..

to get mission xml's you have to open the mission and wait for it to fully load it an then save those as "fresh" files also

it is best to learn and know how to get your own files if you need them so you wont have to wait for others to do possible updates or changes at some given time either because the server updated files, or because you need a fresh copy cause your edits royally messed up.. lol.. hope that in some way this helps you and others to maybe have a better idea how to try an get your own files if and or when you might need them..

if I missed anything sorry but this is pretty much how I manage it for myself so I can be sure I don't have outdated or a corrupt set of files.. an who knows I might of missed something during the time I tried typing it out.. lol..
