If its just "any" game your looking for it depends on what you like, it would be easy enough to say "oh go play ROTMG" or whatever that zombie game 4 was, thats pretty cool. this is a dead thread but for anyone that ever pops in here looking for games, there was this one game called level up which was pretty cool, havent played since i was like 8 so forgive me on that front it may be worse than i remember. premise was you collect things to level yourself up and each night you fight a thingy (no spoilerz) and if you die you forget all of the previous day's events, resetting you back to level 0. which was cool, i thought anyway.

Wrath of Earth, one seriously underrated and obscure golden oldie. Deviates distinctly from the standard first person shooters of the time. Despite the technical limitations I was seriously surprised by the variety among the different levels and over-all immersion often accentuated by various hazards of the environment.

In somewhat similar vein, System Shock I & II (and the Ultima Underworld games), which are even deeper and feature more degrees of freedom. The older Thief games.

I really enjoyed the Submachine series of games by Mateusz Skutnik. Creative graphics and a variable difficulty in gameplay. You can solve every puzzle and it will take days or you can solve the basic number of puzzles and still get the satisfaction of finishing the game. I'd imagine that many of them are still free on Kongregate. The Rusty Lake series of games is also excellent.
