Using the speedhack has been very useful, but the game is still overtly annoying.

Speedhack didn't seem to help me very much, especially on harder difficulties. Maybe a hack to freeze time or an AoB to make the statue always awake on harder difficulties? I looked the the Root Variables for a while, and I saw some that dealt with time, but they didn't actually affect it.

Well as far as the statue goes, have you tried finding the values for the number of blue things you have left to pick up? Maybe we could freeze that number at zero, so the statue would automatically be ready.

EDIT: Didn't work for me. I tried 4byte *1, *8, *8+6, and all those in double. Also tried Unknown initial, then decreased a few times til I hit 0. Maybe someone with more skill/knowledge than me can try.
Edit!!: Good news! Found a way to pause time with Root Variables (broken image removed). Use Speedhack to pause the game. Search _level0/timer:frame and you should get 1 result, go through the steps to find it's amount, change to 0 and freeze. The time will no longer increase, therefore guaranteeing gold. You will have to re-do this all on each stage, but seeing as it's the only working hack as of now, not that bad to have to do.

Great idea. For lazy ones like me it is torture. Change scores to 20k, pass level 1 on each dificulty and you got all platinums. For almost falling, change it to 9 and on first level almost fall. Too bad that for pass game you need to pass last level on medium, but oh well

Did you even try to open sol? It is called Level_Score_Easy/Medium/Hard

I hadn't thought of it for a while, but I re-downloaded it and did that, trying to beat seppuku tower on Hard now :/

are you insane??? i did it in 5 minutes on medium, but suit yourself, you only need to beat level 1 to get medal

Oh, that's weird. I'll try it that way now, but for me it didn't award when I tried like that.

Just a helpful reminder for those trying not to get caught

There IS a high score list. So if you change your sol to 1 second for every level, you are going to get caught. Be smart about it and see what the average time is to beat that level, then add a few seconds. Just the method I used, maybe there are other better ones, but for those sol editing, it should help get all the medals and not get caught.
