Huh, that is either an odd game mechanic or massive lag... It would be interesting in a less action packed game I think.

Protip: For anyone trying it legit, do not input any commands while you are stunned from being hit. That includes movement.  Another tactic that worked is to just spam every button over and over, eventually things die.
