Does anyone know of a way to freeze the time counter?

I can find the time using CE-double values.  The problem is that the seconds counts to 60 and then resets to 0 and freezing it does nothing in game and if you change it, that does nothing either.  Minutes go up by increments of 1, but freezing them does nothing and changing it does nothing and it just changes back as soon as it can.  This doesn't seem like an AoB thing, unless there's an AoB that can significantly slow down the way the game measures time.

I am still on the hunt for ce-values. Ran across another referrer for the time, as a double giving the total time in milli seconds, e.g. 662186 meaning 11min, 2 secs, 186msecs. Freezing them doesn't help as hatcheck's.
