Why do I constantly get logged out?

It's like every couple days when I'm on kongregate the userscript box below game will say "Not connected" and I will have to go to konghack and re-log in, even though I check the "remember me" box every time. Any way to fix this?

You're logging in from 2 different computers, aren't you?

When you login from a second PC, or from a different browser, it will invalidate all other logins.  It's a security feature.

Long story short, I'll be logged in for weeks at a time.  You're doing it wrong. :)

Ah maybe that is it then, I use both firefox and chrome.

You should just use 1 browser for Konghack then.. or install lastpass to automate your logins :P.

I have the same issue. Any way around this security "feature"?
I use two instances of Firefox on the same PC, the binary files are shared and just the profiles are separate.
I recently tried using the "Advanced cookie manager" addon to restore the auth cookie for the site on each startup, but it didn't work, obviously i didn't know about the invalidation back then...
Any chance we could opt-out of this additional security thing?
Or a way to make both instances of FF be seen as one from the server?

We're not going to reduce security.  I must admit, it's kinda ballsy to ask to REDUCE SECURITY on a HACKING SITE.  Ballsy, or retarded, not for sure.

The ticket in the tracker you're referencing has absolutely nothing to do with multiple logins.  Someone simply wants to link multiple kongregate accounts to their konghack account.  :P

Well, that someone was me, lol. Because i can't stay logged in two browsers at the same time, i thought the script didn't support it.

And what i'm asking for is a user-specific solution, not a site-wide reduction of security and stuff...
Having to login every fcking time when i use two separate browser instances exactly to avoid switching accounts all the time is kinda... meh

God... please, stop asking for things that just don't make sense AT ALL.
You know that it is a good thing when other people can't login into your account as long as you're logged in instead of bad? You should be happy that TiM here pays so much attention to these details. Most other sites, some which REALLY should pay attention to security fail to do that.
Why the fuck would you want to log in from two different browsers to the same sites anyway? If it was two windows I could understand, but two browsers? Are you trying to play agaisnt yourself in an online game or something of the like?
You also don't need two windows with the script running on BOTH OF THEM. You can very well read from one of the screens and input your hacks on the other browser. Ever heard of "resizing" the window instead of windows that fill the screen on both of them? You know, that shit works miracles I say!
 

Neat little trick in Windows 7...Click the title bar of one window (not maximized) and drag it to the left most part of your screen. Now do the same with the other window but to the right most side of your screen. Now you have to windows side by side!


And no, security will not be downgraded. Not even for one user. This site is probably more secure than a lot of the major companies out there.

You can also hit the Windows key and the left/right arrows and your window will snap to either side.  WinKey+up will max, WinKey+down will "restore", etc. etc.

In a dual monitor setup, WinKey combos are the only real way to snap to the inner sides. If you WinKey+left/right repeatedly, your windows will cycle position.

Other people CAN login into my account IF they had my credentials. The current system would just log me out.
Two windows are a no-go, as the second one inherits the session of the first. Unless one is an "incognito" window. Which again leads to unnececarry logins. Which helps ones sniffing my traffic (if there were any).
And yes, sometimes i do play against myself. And something of the like...

btw. those window snapping tricks won't help on XP, it's got only the basic tiling. And it'd double CPU usage, at least for flash stuff.

OK, ok, i get it. No chance for even only invalidating the session when it's from a different IP than the last one?! Lost cause here. Nice...
 

XP is officially dead on April 8th.  Keep running it and logging into this site will be the least of your concerns.

You could always just login to KongHack in one browser.  Do you really need this site open in multiple browsers at the same time?

I can't "validate" sessions via IP address.  That's not how cookies work.  If you can figure out a way that to map each browser's cookie folders to the same location and somehow get them to all read the same cookies at the same time, sure, you could be logged in on multiple browsers.
