I believe that's the case.
I had the same issue when creating my own bot and it's still not perfect but increasing delay between last click and pressing F5 seems to work. 
At the beginning I set delays to 150ms and it worked only about 50% times, now I kept 150ms between clicks but increased delay between last click and pressing F5 to 333ms.
Anyway, it looks like it depends on internet speed or pc performance so probably you just need to experiment ;)

I think i misunderstood this glitch:)
I tought with the glith I can have eg 1000 energy if i have only 5 gifts.

It allows you to collect more than 50 gift from the received gifts, so if i have only 50 gifts i cannot collcet more.
Right?

basically it makes whatever counts the number of gifts you collect disable.
so if you have 300 gifts you can get 300, but i have collected 600+ in a single day.
 

yeah, it's like you're, kind of, really collecting those gifts. Just information about this is never registered by server. It basically only allows you to bypass daily limit.
...so make sure your inbox is always full ;)

Well, it's time consuming and boring as hell but if for any reason you're not getting enough gifts from your friends you can create second account, add as ally and send gifts by yourself

You can also simply add more allies. Look in facebook groups dedicated to the game. Most of them have some sort of "looking for allies" post.

Unfortunately I don't know about any hack or glitch that lets you spawn gifts out of nowhere in your inbox

let me just mention that since then I added one detail...
I figured out that if i receive too many "invites", "staffing" or "gift requests" no actual gift will be visible on screen. So I added single click on "My Gifts" tab right before moving to "accept & send" to fix this issue

Coowon is no longer supported, I can download, but it will not install.  I tired with Chrome in Incognito mode, 150 ms between clicks, and 150 ms before F5, saw suggestion of 333 ms will try that tomorrow, but it did not work today.
